TravisFlex/mbi Interface To Be Enhanced
Travis Software is pleased to announce that the existing interface to the mbi Flex Convenience Card is being improved in a new release of the system planned for release during August/September, 2002.
The purpose of enhancing the interface is to make the interface easier to use for system operators and more functional.
Following efforts during the past several months to make the interface more stable, Travis is planning to make the following changes in the near-term:
- The interface will be generally more automated and easier to use. As an example, the twelve steps now required to send/retrieve a new employee to/from TravisFlex and mbi will be reduced to five steps.
- Simplification of the mbi Plan ID. Plan ID's will now be set up via the benefit setup process.
- Error handling will be much improved. For example, the system will tell users not only that a claim was not accepted by mbi, but also display a message telling the user why the claim was not accepted.
- Several streamlining capabilities will be added to the Export file downloader
- A flag will be added to the Employee addition process letting the user identify mbi participants. Only those employees identified will have information sent to mbi.
- A new category for Refunds which come from mbi will be established.
- mbi Group and TPA Setup Forms will be removed from the interface, as they are no longer used by mbi.
These improvements will be part of TravisFlex Release 7.0, which is due to be sent to users in August 2002. The features will be demonstrated at Travis' display at the ECFC Administrators Conference to be held in Reno August 16-18.
Other major new features also found in Release 7.0 include (a) support for the section 105 HealthCare Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) recently confirmed by the IRS, (b) the "Multiple-Payroll Posting" function, allowing several payrolls for employers to be posted with one command (c), changes to existing reports and several other new features.
